JOIN DAILY MARKET TODAY! By becoming a member-owner, you will make a critical contribution to the establishment of Daily Market. We cannot do it without members! That’s why we’re inviting you to become one of our Thousand Founding Friends. Everyone who invests before we open our store will be forever recognized as a Founding Member-Owner. Our ability to open a store depends on how quickly people like you sign up to invest time, energy, and money. Most co-ops take between three and five years to get started. We are in our third year, and want to beat the five year mark. We cannot emphasize it enough: Your participation as a member hastens our opening day! The benefits of becoming a Member-Owner Once we open, Member-Owners get bonuses like discount coupons and a vote for the Board of Directors, who represent them in major business decisions. The best part may be the patronage refund on store purchases. This means that after the co-op pays all its expenses and sets aside part of the surplus for growth and reserve, all of the profit the co-op made from your purchases will be returned to you! For now, the main benefit of being a member is that you are making a critical contribution to Daily Market’s establishment as a store. We cannot do it without Member-Owners! What does it cost? To become a Member-Owner, you will purchase one member share for $140, and pay $10 in member equity dues per year. In other words, you will invest $150 to get started and $10 each year afterwards to remain active. If you ever choose to leave the cooperative, these investments are 100% refundable. Current buying club members may apply their annual club fee toward the initial member share purchase. Payment plans are available, but please note that Daily Market cannot open until the total member investment need is achieved, so we ask that you pay in full now if you can. How do I sign up? It’s easy. Just agree to become an owner and make your first investment in the coop. We will be in touch within two weeks to ensure you are enjoying the full benefits of member-ownership.
